Travel

I have a keen interest in travel and foreign cultures.

I spent a month backpacking in Europe, visiting Italy, Croatia, Budapest, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and The Netherlands. It was a very rewarding experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed taking in the sights, discovering local history, sampling the cuisine and meeting people.

Other travels have taken me to Switzerland, Spain, Morocco and, most frequently, France.

I spent a year in Montpellier, France as a student, and worked in a moules restaurant for the summer. Throughout the year, I took advantage of my location and travelled to places along the Côte d'Azur, including Nice, Cannes, Antibes and Monaco.

In 2001/2002, I lived in Carcassonne, France, where I worked as a teaching assistant in two secondary schools. I now make frequent trips back there to visit friends.
